Back in 2003 I began planning a project for a Christmas CD. I had just finished building my recording studio and thought a Christmas production with local musicians and singers from my area Church affiliations would be the perfect way to get started. The project was originally scheduled for release shortly before Thanksgiving. We ended up partnering with a local assembly that shall remain nameless and that production moved up by roughly 6 weeks. I literally spent 18-20 hours a day for 10 weeks in the studio writing, arranging, recording, editing, mixing, and mastering 12 tunes. A couple tunes ended up missing some guitar parts due to scheduling conflicts, but when everything was all said and done, the project was a success. I plan on going back someday to rerecord a few of the tunes I wasn't completely satisfied with. But for the next 4-5 years, I refused to listen to ANY Christmas music before, during, or after the Christmas season, because I had enough to last me at least that long or longer. Today...I think I have recovered from my "accidental overdose" of Christmas carols!

The Feudal system ended? Dang, I didn't get the memo! {smile} Is it too late to go back?
