This is just a short commentary on a couple of things I've seen since that “humanitarian crisis” of 50 immigrants landing in Martha's Vineyard took place. You would think from the reaction all across the left that it was 50,000 immigrants who were sent by governor DeSantis to this little isle in Massachusetts, but no - only 50. Compared to the thousands that pour across our southern border daily (almost 200,000 crossed in July alone), this is simply a drop in the bucket.
Considering this sign indicates “immigrants” and “refugees” are “welcome” in Martha's Vineyard, why does Max Lefeld, a founding member of Casa Venezuela Dallas, a supposed refugee assistance foundation, liken these immigrants to trash?
It’s like me taking my trash out and just driving to different areas where I live and just throwing my trash there.
Could you imagine the outrage if a Republican said such a thing? Perhaps that is why NBC News deleted the tweet documenting this quote:
Fortunately, many captured it before it disappeared. Apparently, they aren't appalled enough to have deleted the article though:
What Lefeld is essentially saying to border cities is, “these immigrants are your problem - don't dump them on someone else.” Amazing that such complaints were never heard when the Biden administration was transporting illegal immigrants to other cities:

The outrage over 50 immigrants landing in Martha's Vineyard is, if nothing else, outsized. It is hardly a “humanitarian crisis”, and contrary to comments being made, this in no way likens Ron DeSantis to Hitler.
Let's give them some credit though - those wonderful, accepting people in Martha's Vineyard did manage to find housing for these immigrants. The following video of an attorney in Martha's Vineyard lays out some of the details of the relocation.

What all she said boils down to is this:
"We're here for you." "We have your backs." We have the national guard who will escort you to a military base, because you're sure as hell not staying in our community!
Oh the hypocrisy of being a so-called “sanctuary city.” Oh the irony that those on the left who want open borders don't want the immigrants in their own towns.
Maybe, as this following tweet states, the rest of the country should take a lesson from Martha's Vineyard:
