Mass psychosis or mass stupidity?

Are Americans being gratuitously worked up or deliberately dumbed down (or both)?

We are living in an age of media-induced mass psychosis. While the condition really bloomed as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, it began long before and has been growing incrementally over time.

Without significant time spent researching, I don't know that I can put these in original chronological order, but I may come close. Just think about all of the warnings we've had to add to products over the past couple of decades, warnings that previously would have fallen in the category of common sense:

• May be harmful or fatal if ingested (on household cleaning products)

• Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the contents can be harmful or fatal (found on many households products and products containing VOCs, like paint)

• To avoid danger of suffocation, keep this plastic bag away from babies and children. Do not use this bag in cribs, beds, carriage, or playpens. This bag is not a toy (on plastic bags, like those from dry cleaners)

• Drowning warning labels on buckets

• Caution: contents hot (on a cup of coffee)

I'm sure there are plenty of others. As hilarious as these may be, it is a bit disheartening to believe we have sunk to such a level of stupidity.

Perhaps this is just part of the dumbing down of America; but there is more to the story. Next we move on to the idea of things like "micro-aggressions" (which may really be the proper place to look for the inception of the current psychosis), which next led to the creation of "safe spaces." This caught on in the media. Following micro-agresssions, we were inundated with racism and “white supremacy.” Then the media and government began telling us that boys can be girls and girls can be boys, and we shouldn't keep one out of the others' bathroom or activities.

Fast forward to 2020. The media focused so heavily on the COVID-19 numbers that they created an inordinate amount of fear in a large portion of the population (by comparison, if the media focused in the same way on flu numbers each year, based on their reaction to Covid, people wouldn't leave their houses all winter - around the time COVID-19 numbers were originally peaking news, CDC had estimated approximately 700,000 flu hospitalizations and close to 65,000 flu deaths, which is fairly common). Throw masking at people as a protective precaution (though REAL science says it's not) from this villainous virus, and people reached a state of psychosis where, not only has their perception been completely removed from reality, but even showing people ACTUAL science cannot (easily) bring them back. Upon hearing masks were no longer going to be required in public spaces, Rachel Maddow made a statement that appeared to reflect the sentiment of a large portion of the U.S. population:

"I feel like I'm going to have to rewire myself so that when I see someone out in the world who's not wearing a mask, I don't instantly think, ‘You are a threat, or you are selfish or you are a Covid denier and you definitely haven't been vaccinated. I mean, we're going to have to rewire the way that we look at each other."

The shots that also were intended as a mitigation proved not to be so. Despite providing neither protection from the virus nor from transmitting it, they were mass marketed like the next Tickle Me Elmo (if you’re unfamiliar, look it up). Like the rest, most of the commoners consented and would castigate those who wouldn’t. “It’s a pandemic of the unvaccinated!” (said the people infected for a third time after receiving their fourth booster). But, brainwashing.

After this, we moved from girls can be boys and boys can be girls to, “what is a woman”? How is it that a word that has had a set definition for thousands of years (including other languages) suddenly has no meaning? Does one need to be a biologist in order to define “woman,” as (at the time) Supreme Court Justice nominee Ketanji Jackson Brown mused? In the meantime, “white supremacy” became the current greatest threat to our country. That scare was short-lived, however, because “climate change” is now the greatest global concern. After all, the beef humans have been eating since the earliest days of life on earth is now, through cow farts, a threat to life on earth itself! Bring on ze bugs!

For two-and-a-half years we have now been inundated with (in my best Jan Brady voice) insurrection, insurrection, insurrection!

Now we’re approaching a second round of masks and shots because the next covid scare is here. And the psychosis-inducing, fear-mongering beat goes on.

Of course, much of this would not work if our educational system wasn’t failing our students (no, not failing as in making them repeat a grade, as it was when I was young - failing as in, not providing the education for which they allegedly exist). Students no longer know history, and that which is being taught (if any) is propagandized. Instead of focusing on reading, writing, and ‘rithmetic, schools are focused on racism, intersectionality, and gender identity. The population has been, and is being, intentionally dumbed down and agitated into acquiescence, and there is only one reason I can see for it: control. An uneducated, complacent, and compliant populace who will defer to “the experts” is easy to control. Control means power for the politicians, and it is their mainstay. They are using the media as their means of mind control.

Yes, the American public is being intentionally incensed and intellectually eviscerated. Don’t let them dumb you down. Be uncontrollable.
