The only thing at which the left excels is evil

I have been thinking for some time about writing about the American left’s penchant for projecting their own proclivities upon the American right, and when I sat down last week to attempt authoring the article, I found it to be a serious struggle, despite all the ideas swirling through my brain. I have never made a secret of the fact that I despise political parties (evidence here, here, and here, at the least), so I wondered if the issue was that I am typically an equal opportunity offender; I have no more compunction about castigating the Republican Party than I do the Democrats. After last night’s attempt on President Trump’s life, however, my thoughts began to coalesce, and I realized that, though I was trying to focus on projection, there was more to the issues that I could not avoid including, and my mind was being rent in multiple directions.

This is the reason for the new title (as opposed to the original which was going to be “Deceptive deflection”). Even the new title does not cover it all, but so it stands.

The left has long been calling for violence against the right. Why? Because the right won’t acquiesce to much that the left embraces. The country was founded on liberty, but our founding fathers expected that liberty to be tempered by morality, which they perceived to come from religion (morality is not simply a matter of mutual assent). Hence the oft (partially) quoted statement from John Adams:

The left has cast off all sense of objective morality in favor of Statism, perversion, delusion, and mob mentality. This is why they try to bring down America, why they hate the Constitution, why they refuse to let go the sins of America’s past, why they despise those who cling to religion and American exceptionalism.

The perversion and mental disorder is seen regularly in “pride” parades, “family friendly” drag shows, transgenderism, child mutilation (“gender affirming” surgery and puberty blockers), infanticide (called by the left “reproductive healthcare,” otherwise known as abortion), men in women’s sports… I could go on and on. Anyone who refuses to accept these as “normal” is lambasted as a “phobe” of one sort or another (though none are “afraid” - more of the left just twisting our language) or as committing “violence”, whether through “silence” (sorry left, silence is NOT violence) or through “words” (nope - speaking is not violence either).

This is part of the projection. They claim the right hates them for their “sexuality”, for their “minor-attractedness,” for their desire to have control over “their own bodies.” Yet they are the ones who hate and other people who hold to traditional mores. They are the ones who wish to control everyone else’s bodies by forcing pharmaceuticals on them. They are the ones who wish to force their perversion on other people’s children. They are the ones who incite and commit violence.

While they railed about January 6, 2021 as an “insurrection”, and people escorted through the Capitol by Capitol Police as “insurrectionists,” they are the ones who took over part of Seattle’s Capitol Hill area and turned it into an “autonomous zone.” They are the ones who targeted a federal courthouse in Portland in 2020 and 2021. They are the ones who committed “fiery yet mostly peaceful” riots leading to over $2 billion in damages and dozens of people being killed or injured.

Antifa, a violent leftist organization that purports to defend against Fascism attempts to forward its vision, not unironically, through fascist methods - shouting down speakers, shutting down events, verbally and physically attacking those with whom they disagree. But they cast as fascists parents who attend school board meetings to stand up for their children and guide their education. They cast as terrorists those deplorable gun- and Bible-clingers. Despite Antifa and BLM perpetrating vast amounts of violence and damage, federal agencies seek to avoid “far right terrorism,” so much so that they have to invent far right terrorist groups who wear masks and transport themselves in U-Haul trucks.

Hint: people on the right fought wearing (useless) masks to fight a virus - and they don’t wear masks to defend Americanism. It is the left who hides behind masks - Antifa, BLM, Palestine protestors. If you doubt (and perhaps believe J6 was an “insurrection”), see how many masks you find in pictures of those who were at the Capitol on J6. Very few.

Which brings us to “our Democracy” and the “soul of our nation.” Since Biden’s speech on Sept. 1, 2022, the right has been cast by the left as a “threat to Democracy,” as a group who will usher in the end of America. Even before then, there was much wringing of hands and clutching of pearls over a potential second term for Donald Trump. What did this lead to? Censorship, violence (already discussed), and what many believe to have been a stolen election.

Whether the 2020 election was stolen (and there is much evidence it was), even TIME magazine admitted proclaimed that there had been a (successful) conspiracy to save the election. Save it from what? People making their own choice for President? Precisely. This was not, however, a one-time event. The left does not want you to choose for yourself. That would destroy our Democracy™ (which means, their grip on power). No, to them, Democracy is them telling you for whom you can vote.

This is the reason several states attempted to remove Donald Trump from their ballots. How dare you believe you can think for yourself at election time!

Well, that didn’t work, so they needed to sue Trump and make him a criminal. From a very un-credible rape victim for whom New York had to alter the statute of limitations on rape law to even bring a case, to Trump “overvaluing” real estate in order to get a loan that the banks said they thought was a fair value, to falsifying business records to pay “hush money” to Stormy Daniels. Never mind that Hillary Clinton used campaign funds to pay for a falsified dossier in an attempt to beat Trump and only paid a fine. Never mind that Tara Reade, who has accused Joe Biden of sexual assault, is far more credible than E. Jean Carroll. Never mind that Nancy Pelosi and her pals regularly trade stocks on inside information. Don’t look at us on the left - look at them on the right!

Attempting to interfere in an election, which is what all of these attempts are, is destroying “democracy.” But…dictator!

Despite the fact that I do not believe Trump to be a conservative nor to have governed conservatively in his four-year term, I did not see any dictatorial tendencies from his presidency. I have yet to have anyone who claims Trump wants to be a dictator point out any particular action to justify saddling him with such aspirations. President Biden (and the left in general), on the other hand, has overtly displayed a despotic disposition. From the “we’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin” remark toward those who refused to take the (deadly - yes, deadly) Covid shots, to attempts to mandate the shots via OSHA regulation, to attempts at overruling protected rights via other government bureaucracy and executive order, it is Biden and those on the left who regularly attempt to rule rather than govern.

Which brings us back to the attempt on Trump’s life. The left has an utter disregard for, perhaps even contempt for, human life, especially when it stands in the way of their goals. This was seen with Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and has been visible with the American left at least for the past decade. Violence is fine, if it will help accomplish their goals. This is where I depart from the idea of projection and tell you to believe the left when they tell you who they are.

The left has been fomenting political violence for years. They will use any and every issue, incident, and idea to do so. Whether it is the false narrative of “hands up, don’t shoot,” a drug-abusing criminal dying of overdose, or a threat to our Democracy™, violence is a means to an end. Recall, the media never wanted you to see that Trump called for people at the Capitol to remain peaceful, but he gets shot as a result of leftist rhetoric, and it’s on him to call for “lowering the temperature”?

This is the left. This is not a fringe example - it is their central message. They hate you, they hate America, but they want to blame it all on the right, on those who want to “make America great again.”

I’m sure you can see that, even while I wrote this, my brain was befuddled by myriad thoughts and I struggled to keep this moving in a single, coherent direction. There is so much out there and so much that can be said on this topic, I could spend months, or even years, going on about it. Suffice to say, don’t believe the projection; when the left accuses the right, understand they are telling you what they are planning. When they tell you who they are, however, believe them. They lie about a lot, but not about their disdain for you.
