I find it hard to believe that I, who never had any intention, thought, or inclination of being a “writer”, have now been writing my substack for a year and a half. If anyone wonders how it began, it was because of something I wrote about a class I took that I intended to share on social media in a small group. I mentioned it in a comment on another person’s substack to which I subscribe, and someone said I should put it on my substack and share it. So I did: When medical schools sell out . Thus was my first post and the birth of my journey into writing.
I know I’m not the best writer on substack. I have no expectation of being such. I have no expectation of having millions of followers. I simply write whatever at the moment strikes my fancy, whatever news may trigger a thought, whatever event sets my mind’s gears turning. And I hope that whatever it is I write will set your mind’s gears in motion.
For that reason, I am grateful to those of you who take the time to read my ramblings. It is you who have kept me going this long and who will keep me going. So, if you find what I write of interest and haven’t yet subscribed, go ahead and click the button:
If you do subscribe, please share my posts with others. Tell your friends, relatives, your dog-walker or baby-sitter, and whomever else you care to. You, my readers, are my motivation. I look forward to additional motivation, and to hopefully stimulating you to cogitation in the new year.
May you all have a happy and healthy and thought-filled 2024!
Thank YOU for sharing your thoughts in an intelligent manner. Keep at it.
No kidding! I set out on my substack journey to try and share a few thoughts and with an aim to NOT overwhelm my readers with long articles or daily postings. So I'm a bit taken aback by the fact I've published 124 articles now!
