Christmas is a time for giving gifts, and for receiving them. We do this in recognition of the greatest gift ever offered, that of God’s own Son, Jesus Christ, as a sacrifice to reconcile the world to God and to save those who believe.
When it comes to Christmas gifts given among men, I enjoy giving more than receiving, but I am very grateful for those I receive. One gift for which I am very grateful is the gift of my readers. So today, as I celebrate the birth of the Lord, I also give thanks for all of you who take the time to consider my thoughts. You are clearly under no obligation to do so, and I appreciate the opportunity to stir your minds to contemplation and reflection.
