Since being installed (yes, installed - she was not elected by voters via primary) as the Democrat presidential nominee and hitting the campaign trail, Kamala Harris has been promoting several policy positions which have changed from her prior stances. She also claims that her values have not changed. It is rather difficult to reconcile much of what Kamala has said in the past with what she now communicates. Neither space nor time would permit listing all the lies new positions Harris is promoting, but one that warrants discussion is Harris’ stance on immigration.
Harris has historically been very vocal about immigration. She has stated before, and repeated recently, that as California’s AG, she took on cross-border smuggling and criminal cartels (you can research the veracity of those claims for yourself). At the same time, she claimed that those coming to this country illegally (read: illegal immigrants) should not be treated as criminals, stating that “an undocumented immigrant is not a criminal.” Last I checked, most prosecutors understood that doing something illegal (like crossing the border without passing through a legal checkpoint and presenting proper documentation) makes someone a criminal. But…those pesky facts, right?
This alone, ignoring the laws of our country, is enough legal evidence to show she should not be in any position requiring enforcing the laws of our country. One of the primary (and only) jobs of the President is to see that the country’s laws are enforced. Nevertheless…
When President Biden tasked her with getting at the “root causes” of migration (though that isn’t really the job of the government so much as simply protecting the border), she went to Guatemala. Most people are familiar with this trip because of her interview with Lester Holt wherein he said she hadn’t been to the border, and she responded that she hadn’t been to Europe.
In that particular piece from NBC, clips were shown of Harris telling immigrants “don’t come.” Her appeal, however, was lackluster at best. I can’t imagine anyone hearing Harris’ “don’t come” message, with her less-than-convincing insouciant tone, would be deterred. It had already been made clear prior to Biden and Harris occupying the White House that the Biden administration would welcome the “caravan” of newcomers.
Surely enough, as has been cited innumerable times, illegal immigration exploded under the Biden/Harris administration. Harris, however, asserts that “immigration” is lower, and that if it hadn’t been for Trump coercing Congress to not pass the “bipartisan border bill” (why is “bipartisan” used as if it automagically implies “good”?), the border would be secure.
Unfortunately, many Americans’ memories are even shorter than Harris’; but, allow me to refresh yours. While President, Donald Trump ordered the building of a border wall. Trump ordered the construction of additional border detention facilities. Trump issued an order expediting the removal of illegals throughout the country. Trump forbid self-declared “sanctuary cities” from receiving federal grants other than those required for enforcement purposes. Trump prioritized deportation of illegals who committed crimes (other than having already crossed the border illegally). Trump authorized adding 10,000 ICE agents to the bureau. Trump issued the remain-in-Mexico policy for those seeking asylum. I’m sure there is more that can be listed, but Trump made great strides toward securing the border and stemming the tide of illegal immigration.
Enter the Biden/Harris administration. On day one, Biden stopped Trump’s remain in Mexico policy. He stopped construction of the wall. He immediate went about undoing what Trump had done to secure the border. He even issued an order to “roll back Trump’s attempt to exclude undocumented people from the census” (undocumented immigrants should not be counted on the census - only American citizens should be). This has all been done with Harris as VP. She does not disapprove of these actions. To further illustrate…
…we now come to some additional legal evidences. Since Biden put Harris in charge of solving the immigration issue, the Biden administration has sued Texas to remove a floating barrier in the Rio Grande that Texas put up to deter migrants from making the journey and crossing illegally. The Biden administration likewise sued Texas (and won) to allow border agents to take down razor wire that Texas installed to prevent migrants entering Texas illegally. As I’ve already cited, Harris opposes deportation.
Harris regularly talks of a “pathway to citizenship” for those who have entered the country illegally. Harris doesn’t believe those who have entered the country illegally should be treated as criminals, despite the fact that they broke the law to enter the country (which, by definition, makes them criminals).
So, how are we to believe her feigned outrage at the failed “bipartisan” border bill? A bill that, by the way, would not have done anything to slow illegal immigration, but only placed limits on the number of migrants who could enter daily at legal points of entry.
How are we to believe that she wishes to do anything to stop illegal immigration when the Biden/Harris administration has been flying illegals directly from other countries to the interior of the U.S.?
How are we to believe Harris’ propaganda stating that migration numbers are “at their lowest” when reality tells us otherwise?
How are we to take seriously her sudden interest in actually visiting the border three-and-a-half years after Biden charged her with handling the border crisis?
The fact is, the Biden/Harris administration is largely responsible for creating the crisis. Harris cannot be taken seriously when she speaks of dealing with our southern border. She sees “undocumented migrants” (read: illegal immigrants) not as criminals, but as a way to grow census numbers (this leads to more seats in the House of Representatives) and to expand the Democrat voter base (the DoJ has been suing states over requiring documentation of citizenship for voting in federal elections).
Considering all the laws the Biden administration has ignored, all of the legal policies they’ve overturned that have increased immigration, and all of the lawsuits they’ve launched to prevent states from protecting their own borders and elections - in the face of all of this “legal proof” - it is impossible to conceive that Harris wants anything other than an open border.
For the record, despite the recent rejection of the title “Border Czar” and rants that it is a title the right has applied to Harris in order to smear her, most of the leftist media dubbed her “Border Czar” after Biden put her in charge of handling the border crisis.
Does any politician ever really have a "position"?
No, I'd say they have a public statement that is whatever they feel will be most popular. If that statement becomes unpopular they simply change it. Sort of like changing dirty underwear. They hope the public will just forget about the old dirty position.
I cannot imagine that anyone with an IQ higher than what I can count on my fingers and toes would deliberately cast their vote for the Kackling Inkompetent Ninkompoop. Just seeing that thing's face or hearing its inane and always-inappropriate cackling is enough to raise my cortisol levels through the proverbial roof.
Kamalalalalla is incapable of speaking - at all - let alone truthfully. She's utterly despicable.
