Our government is packed with pyromaniacs

As I sat bored late one recent night, not having energy to write nor interest in watching what was “live” on my streaming service at the time yet not ready for sleep, I turned to a different streaming service to look for movies. As I was scrolling, a movie I had not seen in quite some time popped up in the listing: The Dark Knight. While I lie half-watching Christian Bale’s atrocious acting, recalling why I had not seen The Dark Knight in quite some time, Michael Caine’s character Alfred, Bruce Wayne’s butler and all-around right-hand man, made a stunningly sublime statement that struck me and caused me to consider the state of our country: “Some men aren’t looking for anything logical like money. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.”

Those in Arkham Asylum…uh…Congress are most certainly interested in money, and to a degree they can be bought (as is true for the President himself), but they generally cannot be reasoned or negotiated with (at least, not by the people they allegedly represent). This phenomenon is not limited to the current administration, but the current administration is the one we now have. Prior to the swearing in of President Two-Face…er, Biden, employment numbers and the economy were recovering from the government’s despotic and disastrous response to Covid, America was energy independent, and inflation was low. Within days of taking the oath of office, Beijing Biden cancelled the Keystone Pipeline and began cutting into oil drilling leases making us dependent once again on foreign oil. He and the Federal Reserve then went to work on (supposedly) trying to improve the economy, yet instead created an inflationary trajectory like that of the Apollo moonshot. Though his predecessor overall left to the States (as was right) handling of the China virus, POTatoUS went to work trying to implement tyrannically malicious medical mandates using Executive Orders and OSHA rules to circumvent Congress. I seem to recall him railing, “the vaccine is FDA approved. Over 200 million Americans have gotten at least one shot. We’ve been patient but our patience is wearing thin and your refusal has cost all of us.” Need we discuss the spate of sudden cardiac stoppages that plagued the country, and the world, from the time the government began pushing the poison poke? Moving beyond Biden…

Congress has done amazing things…to destroy everything millions have lived and died for. Some are intellectually ill-equipped and criminally inept (Sheila Jackson Lee and Mazie Hirono - I’m looking at you); these couldn’t find their way out of an open paper bag with the Batmobile. Others are clearly malicious and/or evil, like Pelosi, Crenshaw, Schumer, Cornyn, Schiff, Blumenthal…maybe the “not malicious and/or evil” list would be easier. These characters make the Joker’s pathologies look like playtime. Anyway… While at one point illegal immigration into the U.S. was mildly waning, it is now completely unabated and exacerbated by present policy. Border cities are being overrun, and the President (ok, this isn’t just Congress) is transporting them to other cities and releasing them. Of course, if border State governors do the same, transporting illegal border crossers to cities that claim to offer sanctuary for those crossing contra-law, those governing the sanctuary cities scream bloody murder about how they can’t handle 50 migrants (to whom they promised refuge) and that their system is being burdened beyond the breaking point. Though many believe offering asylum is a compassionate and humanitarian effort, they fail to realize the strain such multitudes of migrants place on our already strained economy. Social Security, whose solvency is commonly questioned, is offered to people who never paid in, despite its purpose being to serve as retirement income for those whose wages have been garnished (paging Charles Ponzi to the white courtesy phone please). As if that wasn’t enough stress on the country’s financial resources, Congress wants to enact a $1.7 trillion spending bill, as if sending tens of billions to Ukraine wasn’t enough. I mean, can you blame them though? Ukraine has been laundering our tax money for Congress (and the President) for years. The rest of the spending bill? Well, I don’t know about you, but I don’t have time to read 4,155 pages of legalese, and I’m guessing most Congress critters don’t either. Surely some of them have read at least a portion of the bill, right? It seems Brian Mast, Representative for the 21st district of Florida has, and here’s what he has to say about the bill:

There’s $410 million for border security… except it’s for the border security of Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia and Oman. While the southern border is wide open, Democrats in Congress would rather send hundreds of millions of dollars abroad to secure the borders of nations in the Middle East.

It appropriates another $575 million for family planning in areas where population growth threatens endangered species. They want to keep people from having children because it might “threaten biodiversity.”

Also included is $777.5 million for the State Department’s Education and Cultural Exchange Programs. The program sounds nice until you realize it’s the same program that paid $20,600 to a cultural center in Ecuador to “promote diversity and inclusion” through drag shows.

There’s more. Let’s see, another $45 billion for Ukraine, $47.5 billion to the NIH and $9.2 billion to the CDC for “healthcare and research” (maybe the next pandemic and injurious jab?), $20 billion in grants for students to pay for indoctrination centers…I mean, college…, and $5 billion to help low-income families afford the cost of energy (that the government’s policies are causing to rise), among other things. Gee, sounds useful, doesn’t it? I mean, kinda like dousing a few buildings full of Benjamin Franklins in expensive gasoline then tossing a Molotov cocktail, no? I love the smell of napalm in the morning!

On to the state level, we have tyrants like Gavin “the Penguin” Newsome who, while dining at the French Laundry, kept everyone locked up in their homes, then, in addition to advocating those vile “vaccines”, threatens (along with the state medical board) doctors who would seek what is best for their patients by…gasp…warning them about possible adverse effects of a novel and unproven serum. Oh the horror! It seems New York suffered similarly under Andrew “the Riddler” Cuomo (who left everyone scratching their heads about forcing infirm elderly into nursing homes to infect others) and later the Kathy “the Catwoman” Hochul. A number of these governors seek to stifle the inalienable rights of millions of their constituents, such as freedom of speech and keeping and bearing arms, while also lauding legislation to rob unborn (and potentially born) children of their right to life. Yet no matter how poor their performance, each election they Bat-a-rang right back into office.

Looking now at local lackeys, consider mayors in some of the seediest cities and Soros-supported and selected DA. Under the watch of clowns the likes of London “Poison Ivy” Breed (whose toxicity has killed San Francisco), Beetlejuice…um…Lori “Harley Quinn” Lightfoot, and Eric “al Ghul” Adams, crime in cities like San Francisco, Chicago, and Gotham, has skyrocketed. Businesses are fleeing at record rates, and U-Haul is making money like never before (perhaps they invested in truck rental stock prior to enacting their policies). It doesn’t help that DAs in these cities, and others, refuse to indict brutal criminals, and they release violent offenders on zero-dollar bail. Never would they consider prosecuting the perpetrators of the “fiery but mostly peaceful protests” during the “summer of love,” though selfie-takers on a guard-guided tour of the country’s Capitol were left to languish in lockup for having the nerve to walk through a door opened for them by Capitol police.

It seems this murderous mindset is contagious, as it exists abroad as well as domestically. What we are witnessing is pure evil. The flames flickering during Nero’s fictitious fiddling is nothing compared to the bonfire engulfing America at the hands of those elected to protect it. No, our officials are unmoved by the masses of money they make off our backs, impervious to reason, and closed to negotiation. Someone call commissioner Gordon and have him light the Bat signal. We need the Dark Knight to ride in and save the day, because these people are intent on setting the country ablaze. As Alfred so aptly stated, they “just want to watch the world burn.”
