When will this industry be held to account?

How long until they face consequences for their complicity in so much harm?

Every day around the country, people are injured or killed by this industry’s products. Thousands each year are disabled or die, and the cause is known, but government does not intervene. How long will we stand by while so many innocent people, especially children suffer such harm? We the people bear the brunt of the cost. If they didn’t have such a huge lobby with very deep pockets, we would be able to pass laws to stop this!

Yes, I’m talking about people being shot. Americans are shot daily en masse. We know where this is taking place, more often than not in gun-free zones, yet most continue go into these places willingly, often unaware of the danger they face. We know who is doing it. Where is the outcry? Why do we allow this to continue?

Wait….are you under the impression I’m talking about gun violence? I’m sorry if I misled you (well, no, I’m not - that was the intent) - I’m talking about vaccines. That’s right, vaccines. Vaccines (and other pharmaceuticals) are responsible for tens of thousands of injuries and deaths every year, and pharmaceutical companies are immune (yes, I’m being punny) from liability (at least with regard to vaccines), even when their product is used according to manufacturer instructions. Talk about irony.

Side note: I’m not offering any judgement as to whether people should or should not get vaccinated against any particular illness. I believe the decision to receive or refuse any particular vaccine (or all vaccines) should lie solely with the individual, not with any corporate or government entity.

With all the screaming and hollering about the firearms industry being “immune” from liability, the real villain is big pharma. The gun industry is liable for any harm caused by faulty manufacture of their product. If someone is using a gun according to manufacturer instructions, if that person is handling it safely and properly, and the firearm misfires and causes harm, or if the weapon incurs some type of injurious catastrophic failure, the manufacturer is liable and can easily be sued. This is not so for drug makers.

Nevertheless, congressmen rant about gun manufacturer immunity and assert that the manufacturers should be responsible for people using their products for illegal purposes. That would be like suing Ford for Billy Bob choosing to drive his F150 while intoxicated and killing a family in a head-on collision. Is Ford responsible for Billy Bob’s drunk driving? Of course not. Nor should Ford be responsible for the outcome of Billy Bob’s illegal actions. Likewise, gun manufacturers should not be liable for criminals using firearms for illegal purposes.

When it comes to vaccine manufacturers, even when their products are used legally, and administered by licensed professionals following all guidance in the package insert, if the vaccine causes harm (even because it is a bad batch), the maker has no liability and may not be sued. This should not be. This is all thanks to the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act signed into law by Ronald Reagan in 1986. Instead of the pharmaceutical company taking responsibility, the injured party (or the family of the deceased) must file a claim with the “Vaccine Injury Court” (a division of the United States Court of Special Claims). This is part of the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program which has paid out billions of (taxpayer) dollars since its inception. Of course, the government claims (as do pharmaceutical companies) that a settlement (that’s all these payments are - settlements) does not imply a vaccine was actually the cause of injury or death. Because, reasons. And as much as has been paid out through this program, clearly not every vaccine injury results in a filed case and subsequent settlement. Can you imagine if every potential claim was filed?

Then there are exceptions like the Covid “vaccine” which is excluded from the NVICP - instead, it is covered under the CICP (Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program). One might be tempted to think this is something completely different - one would be wrong. This is simply a separate program that also provides manufacturers immunity from liability for vaccines (or other countermeasures) offered during health “emergencies,” and that pays victims using tax dollars.

Think about that for a moment. Really meditate on it. Under Operation Warp Speed, the government invested billions of tax dollars to help pharmaceutical companies rush a virtually untested medical intervention into wide-spread use, provided those injections for “free” (read: using more taxpayer money), and anyone injured by that experimental treatment can file a claim under the CICP to receive compensation (read: even more taxpayer money). Why are we forced to pay for these things? Where is the government’s constitutional charter for interfering with individuals’ (or the population’s in general) healthcare? What article of the Constitution authorizes the federal government to pay corporations to manufacture a product, or to pay for that product to be given to individuals, or to pay individuals if they are harmed by a product?

Add to vaccine adverse events all the injuries/deaths caused by other medications (for these, pharmaceutical companies may be liable, though with informed consent and proper disclaimers, I’m not 100% sure), and what do you have? A prescription for problems.

What then is the real travesty? Firearm manufacturers not being held liable for criminals injuring people through illegal use of their products? Or pharmaceutical companies not being held liable for harm caused by legal and proper use of their products? How many willing vaccine recipients must suffer injury or death before laws will change? How long will we tolerate vaccines being mandated (think: school requirements, travel requirements, CDC childhood vaccine schedule, Biden using OSHA in an attempt to force Covid vaccines) while allowing vaccine manufacturers to avoid responsibility for adverse reactions? We should not be forced to bear the cost of the suffering caused by drug makers. The pharmaceutical industry must be held to account for the harm it causes.
