When violent people go on killing rampages, politicians and pundits often/usually rush to blame the tools used (i.e. guns) and attempt to regulate the weapon rather than address the underlying reason for the violence. Many of those who commit those heinous crimes suffer psychological pain and are under the influence of pharmaceuticals. How many mass murderers are motivated by medication?
I believe most (99%+) are on some medication (or combinations) that affect their ability to reason clearly. Years (not even that many) ago the media reported it. Then they just stopped cold on reporting mental health issues and medications these killers are on. It wasn’t good for the narrative of gun control or for pharmaceutical companies. Pharma doesn’t want you to know that drug you’re taking for anxiety that might make you suicidal might also make you homicidal. If people can point at the drugs as the cause then leftist gun control narrative falls flat. So we will not speak of it.
