As always, you make me think about things from a different angle than where my deceitful heart goes when I hear of something like this. Thanks for a different perspective Chad!
Thank you for the compliment Patricia. That is always one of my desires - inspire people to think, even if they disagree.
I had someone disagree with my use of Luke 16, believing that it doesn't apply because those in Jesus' story had "Moses and the prophets." Perhaps this is true. Of course, that story in Luke 16 could make the point that, despite having Moses and the prophets, many refused to believe in Jesus despite Him rising from the dead.
Either way, there certainly is nothing in Scripture that indicates God would temporarily send an unbeliever back from the dead, on a time limit, to preach the gospel. This is why, no matter any other criteria we may consider on our own, we MUST examine all things in light of Scripture - it is God's revealed word to us.
Chad, Yes, your story really made think and to look at the story in a very different light! Even with Dr Graham and Joni E Tada’s affirmations we still need to remember that God gave us ALL the answers we need in His word alone. Thank you for your discernment!
