Creepy uncle joe has been a gun grabbing jackass for as long as I can remember. I don't know if he honestly believes the horse hockey that comes out of his mouth or if he is incredibly misinformed about the TRUTH of the 2nd Amendment and firearms as a whole.
Either way, I AM terrified that he is the one in control of the military and all of the US weaponry. IF We the People were to finally take a stand and say ENOUGH, he just may be demented enough to send F-15s out to bomb our own citizens. Would the generals in command actually carry out the order to do that? I would hope not. But who knows if those generals are able to tell when an order is unconstitutional?
"...the vast majority of Americans are aware that the Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting. "
I'm not so sure that the VAST majority ARE indeed aware of that fact. There are SO many that are GROSSLY uneducated when it comes to guns and how important knowledge of the firearm you have is paramount to the safety of everyone around you and to the ability for you to use that gun if, and Heaven forbid, when you HAVE to use it for it's intended purpose.
I have read comments and heard arguments from anti-gun people that is so outlandish I stand in disbelief that anyone actually believes what they are saying. Most of those arguments come from the lack of proper, accurate education on the subject. I've actually had someone say that they think that when someone buys a gun and starts shooting it, they are in danger of becoming a homicidal maniac if they do it too much. They think that people will get tired of paper or range targets and want to start shooting other people. Those kinds of idiotic ideas come from idiots like poopy pants joe spewing the drivel that he does. And nobody that those on that side of the table listen to will actually stand up and shout down biden on his stupidity.
I'm pretty sure you know my thoughts and feelings on th3 subject of the 2nd Amendment already. But simply put, ALL gun control laws are UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
And anybody getting information on guns from peolle that don't like guns and don't use guns in any way, wellll...their source is worthless.
Biden is unable to tell the truth. He will say anything to get a vote for leftist ideology. Your points about the 2A are perfectly made. This assault on a natural right will not end until and if the SCOTUS decides to end this debate and continual overreach by states such as NY.
Pathological liars truly are mentally ill people. I have wondered for many years if creepy uncle joe (and many other politicians) was a pathological liar, which would make him a head case.
OR...is it just his nature to lie? We all know he is in the throws of dementia at this point in his life. But has he always been crazy or just plain evil?
I've never actually met the creep, not that I want to, so I can't make a FULL assessment of his idiocy.
In NY, a legal AR is deemed illegal if it does not have a built in 5 round magazine that is non removable. When using one, you have reload it by opening the upper receiver and shoving 5 more rounds into it.
They are trying to make it illegal to carry a concealed weapon, even with permit, in any businesses.
At this point SCOTUS should stop putting it off and deem any and all legislation by government, including carry laws, are unconstitutional. But will they? And if so for how long?
I feel bad for the people that live in the state of New York that are NOT in one of the large cities. I have met multiple people that were from upstate NY and they were very pro gun. And several of them were on the conservative end of the political spectrum.
I couldn't agree more that ALL gun control laws, including the ban on full auto machine guns, need to be wiped from the books. EVERY ONE of them is illegal, PERIOD.
While I agree with the gist of this piece, there are some factual errors. If it were just semantics, that'd be one thing, but this is a perfect example of the "narrative" becoming accepted as fact, when it is anything but.
"Despite some reports to the contrary the only people who died that day were one unarmed woman who was killed by a Capitol police officer, two men who died of heart attacks, and a woman who died of an accidental overdose. "
Truly, Ashli Babbit was unjustly murdered by a Capital Police Officer, who suffered no consequence for his heinous actions, but he was not alone among Capital Police in being responsible for the deaths of those justifiably upset with a system that has become a travesty of what it has always been intended to be.
Benjamin Phillips, one of the "heart attacks" was struck by a concussion grenade in the chest as Officers shot pepper balls and tear gas, as well as lobbing concussion grenades into packed crowds. There isn't a training system in the nation where these means are acceptable practice. One can argue on the sense of being in a large, unruly crowd. You pays yer money and you takes yer chances, but irresponsible police activity can be directly linked to his cause of death.
Kevin Greeson, if I recall correctly, was pushed off a stairway and fell twenty feet. He was seriously injured in that fall and while being attended to by other protesters, another barrage of grenades were hurled into the area he was lying unconscious in. By the time he made it to an ambulance, he wasn't breathing. Again, the wisdom of climbing the outside of a stairway can be question, but had he not been pushed, he'd likely still be alive, possibly languishing in jail, without charge with several others.
Roseanne Boyland had been sober seven years. She was beaten unconscious by Capital Police, then beaten while unresponsive on the ground. She died of her injuries, not a drug overdose. Now screaming at massively outnumbered cops is probably not how most reasonable people spend their afternoons, but being brutally and mercilessly beaten to death shouldn't be the consequence.
Now as to the government overplaying its hand. I truly believe the gloves are off after J6. During Barry Soetero's second term, if he has ANY Obama DNA, I'll eat my hat, the BLM tried pushing a Nevada rancher around. The government agents soon found themselves vastly outnumbered and it is my belief that is why we didn't have a replay of Ruby Ridge or Waco. The next time forces of the federal government are arrayed against "We The People", I fully anticipate them being again, overwhelmingly outnumbered and the question would then be, did they swear an oath or not?
Thank you for the corrections and depth of information Steve. Frankly, I was unaware of those details, but was really just trying to make the point that those who have been labeled "insurrectionists" were unarmed and not, for the most part, attempting to foment violence. Those deaths were tragic, unnecessary, and frankly, abominable. There were feds and non-Trump supporters in the crowd stirring them up, and the Capitol police opened the doors and let them in. This was in no way the "insurrection" that was claimed. It was a mostly peaceful assembly (truly - not like CNN's "mostly peaceful" but fiery riots) of people who felt disenfranchised by what we now know for fact to have been potentially the most fraudulent election in history. I appreciate the comments.
You're absolutely correct. Somewhere in the myriad of confusingly labeled files I have on my laptop, I've got video breakdowns compiled from cell phones of each death. What became clear to any reasonable observer was, provocateurs instigated much of the mayhem that day and as crowds will do, it doesn't take much to nudge them into a frenzy. The anger and frustration all in attendance must have felt, along with watching a few bad actors cross some behavioral lines, then add police incitement, randomly firing irritants into an already pissed off mob well, disaster was all but guaranteed. I'm amazed that deaths and injuries were as low as they were.
I'm not a fan of large, unruly crowds, be it a concert, or what was intended to be a peaceful, but resolute protest. Inciting panic and anger is relatively easy if you know what to introduce to the mix. All the criteria were met to turn an angry group into a mob, and yet, clearer heads kept much of the mayhem down. The fact is, the worst violence was perpetrated by Capital Police who were so outnumbered it would have made Custer thin k he stood a chance comparatively.
There were those within our government, most of them with a 'D' attached to their names, that while they didn't plan this, did absolutely nothing to mitigate the situation. Two or three times the number of LEO's. as well as a Company of NGMP's, which were requested by the President and others, would have fizzled any sparks bad actors tried to ignite. This was the intended outcome by those that benefitted from it. Not necessarily planned, but intended, make no mistake.
What surprised me the most was just how many pundits and elected Republicans fell over themselves to denounce and announce their shock and sadness on the events of the day. Honestly, if any of them had a pair, they would have been there and been involved. It would at a minimum shown that those we send to DC give a damn about "We The People".
I've been saying for almost two decades now, the Left should be careful what they wish for. They're liable to get it.

I do not believe Biden comes up with this BS on his own. Uncle BO is helping the destructive narrative if not writing every word.
Biden is unable to tell the truth. He will say anything to get a vote for leftist ideology. Your points about the 2A are perfectly made. This assault on a natural right will not end until and if the SCOTUS decides to end this debate and continual overreach by states such as NY.

Now THAT IS the TRUTH!
