I love this, 1 Th 5:18: “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” Why would He give us a command with such a broad sweeping stroke? ‘Everything?’ Really? Yes, for I believe this shows the utmost of our trust in Him, who takes our lemons and makes lemonade out of them. Or, more scripturally, He takes what the devil meant for evil and turns it to our greater good. We may not see it right away - it might even take decades for His end result to manifest as it did for Joseph with his black-hearted brothers - but His glorious outcome will surely come to pass. Thank You, Lord.
