I too suffer from this quite often. The Jelly Roll song “I Need a Favor” speaks volumes from time to time.

I fail to bring the word to people and to speak of the infinite ways The Lord blesses us everyday.

For myself, I tend to get caught up in things over which I have no control and then obsess over how I could fix everything....if only..... I want to put more effort into the Word, myself! Excellent discussion and really uncanny timing!!!!!

The beginning of 2020 marked a new journey in the Scriptures for me personally. It had been my routine to read through the Bible once a year for the past 20 years or so. With 2020 came a renewed conviction to actually "meditate" on Scripture instead of just following my regular daily reading and with that came a new way to study it. Instead of bringing my 21st Century Western World biases into my study, I instead began to seek wisdom in the Word of Yahweh as it was originally written and understood (to the best of my comprehension), as ancient medit tion literature, full of the wisdom of Yahweh, all leading to the culminating figure of Jesus, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, of all of creation. All this to say that the journey has led me to understand that the whole of Scripture is a "minority report" that few adhere to for any real length of time and that my desire is to one day hear the words "well done, enter into my rest." I am not ashamed!
