Technically, we can. It's just that not enough people know how our system of government is INTENDED to work in order to make that happen.
The elitists like biden, piglosi, mconnell and so on in DC have been slowly grooming society to be STUPID as to how to participate in the operations of our government. Civics classes were substituted for "social studies" and US history was pretty much dropped all together (or changed to focus only on the worst of our behaviors in the past) in the late 70's into the early 80's. It was INTENTIONAL.
And any newly elected people that didn't get on board with the program were ostracized and sometimes were targeted with scandalous actions (true or not) to get them to resign or the public to vote against them in the next election.
We HAVE the authority AND the ability to make the necessary changes. We just need enough of us that DO KNOW how the system is supposed to work to band together in a TRULY ORGANIZED GROUP. Once we are organized we can them make a concentrated effort to take back control.
The key words is “enough people to truly band together” granted I’m in NY but from my experience these people will scream at their Facebook feed all day but be unavailable every time something real is going to happen. “I have to work” “my kid has baseball” so on.. and they’re on messenger the whole time asking me for updates.
Our society is desperately lacking warriors and true patriots but we have a huge population of keyboard fighters.
I hear you. Slacktivism, the art of feeling like you've accomplished something by reacting with an emoji, a comment, and/or sharing, has replaced true participation, and weakened us. Calling an elected representative's office, sending them an email or snail mail, attending a local government public meeting, isn't a crushing burden.

I agree wholeheartedly. I personally have health (and age) issues that keep me from joining the regular military. BUT, I am willing and able to hit the front lines. I just can't fight alone. Another MAJOR PROBLEM as I see it is the lack of leadership that is willing to get down in the mud with the rest of us Patriots. This is a problem that must be solved before anything will actually improve.
Something else I forgot to mention... many are afraid of the consequences if their attempt to regain control of our government were to fail. Or the possibility of dying in the process. Yeah, I could end up in prison (where I would probably have more rights and better care overall via these leftist idiots) or even DIE in the process. But I'm reminded of a phrase that I have heard my entire life, "I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees." *I* am to the point that consequences be damned.
The horrible, horrific, disgusting, DISHONORABLE truth of the whole thing is we have been led to belive that nothing truly matters and everything is disposable; relationships, jobs, personal items like TVs and cars and even GOVERNMENTS.
I focused on the DISHONORABLE part for a reason. Nobody in authority these days HAS any HONOR to speak of.
honor

noun
1 honesty, fairness, or integrity in one's beliefs and actions:
a man of honor.
2 a source of credit or distinction:
to be an honor to one's family.
3 high respect, as for worth, merit, or rank:
to be held in honor.
There is NO INTEGRITY, ,SOURCE OF DISTINCTION or HIGH RESPECT for anything or anyone anymore.
(Somehow the end of my comment was cut off and I had to edit the last sentence.)
The very assertion that not all amendments are absolute is enough for removal. As for the ballot box and removal, the incumbent has almost no fear of loss if the party is behind them. That’s a joke.
I would LOVE to see an end to the party system. Let each candidate run simply on their ideals and let people decide for themselves who they want to represent them in each office. I believe there are some people that end up (or stay in) office because so many vote a straight ticket. They vote like this and have NO idea who they are voting for in the lower offices. The moniker of Republican or Democrat can sway people to vote for people that are truly unqualified and unworthy of the positions they are running for.
If only We The People could fire them for not performing their duties as required.
