Quite a few years ago I considered that there must have been a turning point when things went sour. There are several actually. One was in 1971 when the Bretton Woods agreement ended, but that was financial more than social per se. It had to be before that. There was 22 Nov 63 when the they rubbed out Kennedy, but no, it had to be before that. there was the atomic bomb but that didnt foul up the social order. Even the civil war and the demise of Lincoln didnt mess up the social order. Most authors I have found lay the blame on events surrounding Woodrow Wilson and when he removed his hat.

The dairy lobby in the us and canada is very powerful and the dairy industry is tremendously subsidized by many millions of dollars in subsidies each year... Lady Karen Macbeth's teats are as cold, walled off, and inaccessible as her stony heart and her milk is dried up at her shriveled, etiolated breasts (shad with that extra daleth in hebrew, the breast is closed for business). Karen is organized, belligerent, and noisy, and has all the charm and elegance of a gold ring in a sow's snout. Karen- she votes, and the criminal syndicates that manage the governments of the US and Canada are terrified of her wrath. So after the gov't has shelled out millions to prop up dairy each year, the labeling complainers are just told to "run along, now".
