Question: Do other countries tax their citizens so the money can be sent to America?

This infuriates me into blowing spit-bubbles. TRILLIONS being sent abroad to fund conflicts and all for what????? One trillion looks like this: 1,000,000,000,000. My annual income looks like this: 28,000.

My government reminds me of an ineffective parent that (pre-Boden) would threaten their child that they wouldn't go to McDonald's or that Santa wasn't coming if the child didn't ________________. The parent never followed through with their empty threat and this is the same as my current government. It won't shut down because these people need their hair done, their prime ribs, and their summer homes in the Hamptons.

Blowing spit-bubbles....🤣🤣🤣

Sorry, I hadn't ever heard it put quite that way. BUT, I totally get it because I have actually done that. LOL

And I agree with your analogy of the ineffective parent.

Mike Johnson is Kevin McCarthy all over again. What happened to the 72 hour rule before voting? Nope. Gotta go home! MTG has the right idea. And my own rep voted against Jim Jordan for speaker and FOR this abomination of a bill. I’m definitely voting against him. I’ll even vote for George santos if he runs.

And yet people still say “if we aren’t voting read we’re all dead” “I only vote straight across the Republican ticket” and various other lines that state they believe the republicans are stopping this but it’s all just Joe Biden doing this.

Sadly even a government shut down wouldn’t matter because while the everyday regular government employees won’t get paid, congress still does.

All my life I have been against making a living “off the books” but more and more I wish I was. What’s the point of all the tax money they take when it does absolutely nothing necessary to our country’s prosperity?

Yet, sadly, none of it matters because regardless who we put up against the system, our amazing voters somehow find a way to keep voting these idiots back into office.

Awesome article! Love the sarcasm!

My proposal: Let's have the government take a one year vacation! Let's come back in a year after no government anything (and more money in our own pockets because we didn't let the government steal it and send it to Egypt). Lets see if we are better off or worse off then!

Everyone pick a family member or friend who is on Social Security or government assistance, take the money you saved on taxes and support your loved one.

I'm in favor of a government shutdown. Lets go back to common sense, decency and responsibility!

The thing that irks the hell out of me is the FACT that the government won't ACTUALLY have to shut down. They MAY have to cut spending (OH MY) in the way of LAYOFFS of people in those alphabet agencies we all love to hate like the ATF, IRS and FBI. OH DARN, what ever will we do without those agencies??

The truth is, those in DC just might have to cut back on their expenses and other perks of being our elected representatives. Never mind that they were never meant to make a career out of being in DC OR get the outrageous salaries they give themselves and all the benefits. IF they can't reach an agreement on the budget those things just might not be available for them and they damn sure won't let THAT happen.

I can't comment because it would look like a "Hagar the Horrible" or "Beetle Bailey" comic strip. "$@&$ &$& the &$&$ &@%$....."

So, I'll keep my comments to myself!
