What a moronic statement, but I wouldn't expect anything better from Walz. They will never learn that making something *more* illegal isn't going to make a difference! Not to mention everyone totally loses perspective.

I have long equated abortion with the obvious disregard for human life we see today.

These politicians cater to people who are ignorant of the natural sinful man that is taught in the Bible.

Undoubtedly. As a result of our country largely eschewing God from the public square, we've all but forgotten that man, by nature, is sinful, that without God, man is inclined to evil. This was seen as early as Cain slaying Abel with a simple stone. More recent incidents show trucks can be used for mass murder (Oklahoma City bombing), automobiles can be used for mass murder (South by Southwest film festival), airplanes can be used for mass murder (9/11) - those intent on killing will use anything to accomplish their goal, improvising anything from pipe bombs to pressure cookers. It is not the guns.

The worst offenders of mass killings using guns, the ones you don't often read about unless you are a true history buff, has always been.....

GOVERNMENT.

Here is one of my favorite articles, by a previous anti-gun advocate, that details some of the historical horrors perpetrated by government: https://www.bookwormroom.com/2015/10/01/five-reasons-that-the-benefits-that-flow-from-guns-far-outweigh-the-risks-inherent-in-guns/

When a "free people" willingly hand over their right to self-defense and disarm themselves, Wounded Knee is sure to follow at some point.

Did you read the article I linked? It speaks of the 10s of *MILLIONS* killed by government after being disarmed.

Yes I did. And there is no defense that holds water for the continued assault, as I see it, on the individual and natural rights or natural law. the problem is too many people take the easy way out and would rather have somebody else "educate" them and their children instead of reading history critically and coming to conclusions based upon the preponderance of evidence presented.

Case in point. I recently entered into a discussion concerning fascism, because when everything is fascism, nothing is fascism. By posting the very words of the father of the fascist state, Benito Mussolini, I am subjected to the "re-education" of the experts that the left are not the true fascists, but rather, every individual that holds to the idea that the individual over the state is guilty of fascist ideology. Our schools have failed. And generation after generation of parents have failed to teach their children the truth of liberty, otherwise, we wouldn't be having the discussion of "what is a woman!"

"When people are treated as numbers, as statistics, as not having intrinsic worth, what can we expect from our youth, and from those same as they become adults?"

When a certain segment of society deems the individual inferior to the state and primarily a ward of the state, simply to be melded into the masses as a tool of the state, you have stripped that individual of any and all self worth, value, and self-determination in favor of a mindless entity, devoid of any rational human capacity for rational reason and thought. The individual is the greatest single threat to the existence of the state, thus the need for totalitarian extremes in order to stamp out the individual. Furthermore, an armed individual represents an existential threat against the existence of the authoritarian state such that his presence will embolden others to act similarly against the rise and progress of the aforementioned state. An army of individual free and critical thinkers that are also armed is the greatest enemy the state has ever faced, and the state cannot and will not sit by while it's power and its own determined status as arbiter of all that is right and true is challenged by the lowly individual and his companions.

People think they can do anything they want. They never got their asses whipped or bear by someone else because of their bad behavior. They fear no consequences as they have no Christian goal of salvation. There is a lot that goes into being a “good person” and few on the left think it is a worthwhile pursuit.
