It’s really this simple, the push for freedom of non religion is the reason morals have gone so far out the window you can’t see them with binoculars. The less people worry about after life punishment for the life they live, the less they worry about what they do in the life they live. This results in rampant sex crime drug use debt.. everything The Bible warned us not to do. The pursuit of happiness begins... and ends... with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
I have been "preaching" for a number of years now that America has lost it's moral compass. People have been SCREAMING for freedom FROM religion and pushing God out of our government for the very reason you state in this article. These people have been taught and encouraged to believe that they are the end all be all of the world.
They have essentially given God the middle finger. Now they complain about the horrible condition of the world around them. They don't understand that God does not go where He is not wanted. And without Him there is only decay and evil.
