Or instead of "storing" CO2 in the ground... we could just dissolve it in water and have fizzy water. {grin}

The stupidity of humanity amazes me. Where did all the geniuses go? What would Einstein, Pauling, Bohr, Newton, Darwin, etc, etc, think of the current thinking of our "scientists"?

I've seen some really stupid ideas emanate from GovCo "brains" but this is among the Top Ten Stupidest Ideas From Your United States Government. This stems from the post-WWII mentality that technology is the solution for every problem. As a degreed Rocket Scientist, I'm embarrassed.

Excellent article, Chad. I, likewise, have made these points numerous times: Want to suck carbon out of the atmosphere? Plant trees (or at least stop destroying them). Want to take cars and trucks off the road (or at least stop their proliferation)? Quit paving more and bigger roads.

It gets worse. There are “scientists” claiming that in order to reduce the human carbon footprint fast enough to make a difference is to introduce a super virus for population culling. Read that again. Population culling with a super virus a la Covid. This idea of reducing population has been floating around for years. People like klaus Schwab, bill gates and the rest of the davos crowd are no longer being covert. The quiet part is now being said aloud, for all to hear…if you’re paying attention…

Yes, I meant to link one of my other pieces about eliminating our carbon footprint: https://curetsky.substack.com/p/they-want-to-eliminate-your-carbon

It doesn't postulate using a super virus for population culling, but it does point out that carbon is present in all life forms, and that it really is you, not carbon dioxide, they want to eliminate.

Population reduction is the only approach that would actually work. However, most of us are opposed to murder.

I would argue that forest fires and volcanic activity alone dwarf human carbon foot print. Population reduction is a euphemism for outright murder, but through “natural” means. If one thinks that population reduction is the answer, then they’re not paying attention to the totality of carbon production.

I've read several books on the subject and the entire "carbon" fuss seems downright moronic to me. How can people believe this garbage?

Actually I can "believe" it. They saw the "hockey stick graph" and fear then overrode all future logical thought.

Check out that YouTube link. They mention the dude’s name who proposed population culling.
